Apple Pie (Out of Season)

Amy pulled all the stops on this one. the story begins in a simple, yet elegant cinnamon vanilla ice cream, a humble setting for our protagonist…Chill Bros homemade apple butter. Granny smith apples cooked to perfection with brown sugar and blended into a sweet and mildly tangy purée that is then ribboned throughout each pint and tub. Perhaps the apple butter would have lived a prosperous some might say successful life, living out its years solo in cinnamon vanilla ice cream, who could fault it?…but not in this case. While on a flight from Washington to visit an old college roommate that the apple butter met its perfect match that complimented and balanced it out in every way…flakey homemade pie crust( the stuff takes 3 days to make and is worth every second of that wait) it’s buttery, and crispy with a thin sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. An affair that started 2 years ago has gotten better with each passing year. Today they make a delicious masterpiece that we at chill bros call apple pie ice cream. “la fin”
